AUSTRALIAN PLAITING & BULLOCK WHIP CHAMPIONSHIPS AND QUEENSLAND WHIPCRACKING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
TO BE HELD AT THE CLIFTON SHOWGROUNDS
ON SUNDAY 9TH FEBRUARY 2025 AT 10AM (Qld time).
This event will be conducted under COVID rules - all entering the grounds will be required to sign in - thankyou.
Entries taken 8.30 onwards - All weather Venue
Whipcracking Section:-
Pee-Wee (8yrs & Under)
Juvenile (12yrs & Under)
Junior (16yrs & Under)
Ladies (17 yrs & Over)
Mens (17 yrs & over)
Novice ( 1 minute continuous cracking)
Open Bullock Whip ( 2 minutes continuous cracking)
Plaiting Section :-
Class 1. Open Stock Whip (Roo Hide)16 plait & above any compination ( Doohan / McMaster Trophy)
Class 2. Intermediate class (roo hide) up to 12 plait thong and up to 16plait handle
Class 3. Novice stock whip (roo hide) Ron Edwards trophy
Class 4. Open stock whip (red hide)
Class 5. Novice stock whip (red hide)
Class 6. Open - plaited belt
Class 7. Novice - plaited belt
Class 8. Open - plaited hatband
Class 9. Novice - plaited hatband
Class 10. Junior section - plaited article
Class 11. Any other leather article.
Entry fee for plaiting classes $5 per entry. There is no limit to the number of entries per exhibitor, in each class, but only 1 entry can be placed in each class.
All novice classes can have 2 wins, before they advance to open classes.
The judges decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
